Fellow Graduate Students:

On behalf of the Graduate Student Association, I welcome you to MU.

The GSA is one of the many graduate organizations in which students can express their concerns to the administration. This year the association will work closely with other graduate organizations to better unify the graduate voice. I look forward to working with the leaders of the other organizations so that we can do our best to represent you and the issues of graduate students.

One of the primary goals of the 2005-2006 GSA leaders is to maximize the funds available for graduate travel grants. To better serve this function, GSA has acquired a concession stand for the fall football season. If you are interested in working the stand, please contact your GSA department representative or feel free to contact one of the executive officers directly. We hope this will be a successful fundraising opportunity.

Our next meeting is October 11, 2005 in Room 243 (Jane Froman) at Memorial Union. The meeting will start at 6:30 p.m. Other fall meeting dates include November 8 and December 13. Please make sure your department has a representative at each of these meetings.
